For years, I saw people struggle with all-or-nothing thinking, feeling overwhelmed by rigid health ideals. That’s why I focus on small, sustainable shifts—because wellness isn’t about getting it perfect; it’s about progress that fits your unique life and brings you joy.

At Flourish True, I guide you through practical, compassionate nutrition coaching designed to reduce stress, not add to it. No guilt, no extremes—just realistic steps toward better health.

The Back Story

Food has always been more than just fuel—it’s connection, comfort, and joy. Some of my favorite memories include summer bike rides for brownies with my mom and sister or the simple pleasure of a homemade meal (YES to lasagna!) at the end of a long day.

Over the years, I’ve met so many people who’ve struggled with their relationship with food and their bodies—feeling like neither has been a true ally. I’ve helped them rewrite that story, replacing pressure and perfection with gentleness, nourishment, and self-trust.

I’m here to help you partner with your NOW body, appreciate its uniqueness, and build a version of health that truly fits you. Because when we feel our best, we have more to give—to our loved ones, our passions, and most importantly, ourselves.

Julie’s Professional Journey

Julie earned her Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph and completed her Dietetic Internship at the University Health Network, a leading research and teaching hospital in Toronto. With nearly a decade of experience in nutrition counselling, she has worked in Diabetes Education, Community Health Centres, and Family Health Teams in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Her passion for women’s health and guiding clients toward sustainable well-being led her to earn a Health Coaching Certification from the Integrative Women’s Health Institute. She believes in meeting clients where they are while helping them take meaningful steps toward lasting change.

Julie specializes in disordered eating recovery, intuitive eating, postpartum nutrition, and body image support. She is dedicated to helping clients reconnect with their bodies, fostering trust and self-compassion along the way. Committed to ongoing learning, she engages in regular professional supervision and is actively pursuing credentials as a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) with IAEDP and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
