Discover this cozy homemade granola recipe for moms. Packed with whole grains, nuts, and warm spices, it’s easy, nourishing, and perfect for batch-prepping for busy mornings or mid-afternoon refuels.
Mama, Let’s Pause the Noise
If you’re like most moms I work with, food can feel complicated with all the noise out there. The pressure to “eat clean,” “bounce back,” or “only snack before 7pm” is constant. And it’s exhausting when you’re already juggling littles and trying to fuel yourself.
Let’s pause that noise for a second.
This homemade granola recipe is here to support you, not add to the struggle! And really, it feels like a Hug-In-A-Bowl too, perfect for this Autumn season.
Why This Granola Works
Complex carbs (oats or quinoa) provide steady energy
Healthy fats (nuts and seeds) slow digestion and help you feel fuller longer
A little protein (Greek yogurt) balances blood sugar and prevents crashes
This winning combo keeps you fueled for longer, so you have fewer energy dips and less reaching for random snacks at 3 p.m.
I love recipes that are easy, flexible, and made with real ingredients you likely already have in your pantry. I batch this once or twice a week and enjoy it over yogurt, with added milk of choice, or straight from the jar on the go to school drop-offs.
Ingredients
3 cups whole grain oats OR quinoa flakes
1/2–1 cup slivered almonds
1/2–1 cup walnut pieces
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (a must-have!)
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup olive oil
How to Make Autumn Hug Granola
Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
Spread granola evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden, stirring halfway if desired.
Let cool completely before storing in a mason jar or freezer bag.
Your Daily Reminder
Your body doesn’t need fixing; it needs feeding, especially during seasons of recovery, stress, change, and all the on-the-move moments of motherhood.
Food isn’t about being perfect. It’s about feeling supported and giving your body messages of consistency and care. You deserve snacks that actually nourish you deeply. Let’s leave the guilt, rules, and bounce-back mentality behind.
Take care of you, too. You’re doing more than enough.
Here’s to that Hug-In-A-Bowl!
